All transactions conducted through this website are governed by English law and fall under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Any changes will take effect from the date they are published on this site.
Live Bees & Queens
Orders for live bees and queens can be cancelled :
3 days before dispatch for queens
3 weeks before dispatch for Nuleus colonies
Please note:
Returns of live bees or queens are not accepted under any circumstances, and no refunds will be issued once they have been collected or dispatched. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will fully refund any deposit paid.

If you have concerns upon receiving your queen or nucleus colony, contact us the same day by phone. We will do our best to resolve any issues.
Nucleus colonies come with a 5-day guarantee, detailed in the care sheet provided with your invoice. We are happy to provide advice after this period, but we are not responsible once the queen or nuc has been installed in your hive.
If your queen arrives dead, call us immediately. We will advise you on how to return the dead queen. A replacement will be issued once, subject to the return of the queen in an untampered cage. No replacements will be provided if the cage has been opened or offered to a hive.
If any mated queen purchased from us becomes a drone-laying queen within the same season, we will replace her free of charge, subject to availability. You must contact us immediately upon discovery, and provide clear photographic evidence and details of the issue. We reserve the right to request the return of the original queen. Replacements are issued once per order and are not guaranteed beyond the same beekeeping season.
Cancellations & Returns
We accept returns on most items within 14 days of receipt, excluding live bees and queens. Before returning any item, please contact us by email at JurassicBees@outlook.com or call 07769921138, stating your order number and the reason for return.
Returned items must be unused, complete, and in ‘as new’ condition, including original packaging where possible. If the item has been opened, it must show no signs of damage or use. Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. A full refund will be issued via your original payment method, excluding the original delivery cost. If your order qualified for free delivery, we reserve the right to deduct a delivery fee from your refund.
General Stock Orders (Excludes Live Bees)
Stock orders are dispatched once payment clears. While we aim to dispatch same-day for orders placed before 12 noon, delays may occur during the beekeeping season. You will receive email updates when your order is received, processed, and dispatched.
Delivery is handled via FedEx or Royal Mail Tracked48, with tracking details provided. FedEx may leave parcels in a safe place upon request; however, responsibility for such deliveries lies with you.
Mixed Orders:
Orders containing both stock items and live queens will be dispatched separately, except where queen introduction cages are included. To avoid additional charges, please place such orders separately.
If an incorrect delivery option is selected at checkout, we will contact you to amend the order.
We deliver across the UK, including Scotland, the Highlands, Islands, Northern Ireland, and Southern Ireland. Please email us at JurassicBees@outlook.com with your postcode and order details for a shipping quote. International shipping is available for non-live items only—contact us for pricing. We do not ship live bees or queens overseas.
Faulty Goods
If you receive a faulty product, contact us within 28 days of delivery at JurassicBees@outlook.com or by phone at 07769921138, quoting your name and order number. We will advise you on the return process and offer a refund or exchange.
Items must be returned in ‘as new’ condition, complete with accessories and, if possible, original packaging.
This policy does not cover faults resulting from misuse, accidental damage, neglect, or normal wear and tear. Consumable goods (e.g., food products) are covered for three months from delivery.
Where a fault is confirmed, we will refund both the item and applicable delivery costs. Replacement goods will be sent via standard delivery.
Personal Data
All personal information is handled in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act and treated as confidential.
When purchasing live bees, we encourage all buyers to register their colonies with BeeBase on the National Bee Unit (NBU) website. Unless you request otherwise, we will share your contact details with the NBU. BeeBase supports national bee health initiatives including Defra’s Healthy Bees Plan and provides free alerts and inspections in case of local health concerns.
