FAQs

What does it smell like?
Each candle carries a subtle honey and warm beeswax aroma — the natural scent of our Dorset hives and wildflower forage.
How do I get the best burn?
Trim the wick to 5 mm before each light, keep away from drafts, and allow a full melt pool on the first burn.
Is beeswax better than soy or paraffin?
Beeswax is naturally harder and burns longer. It’s renewable, requires no chemical processing, and produces a gentle amber glow.
Is the wax really from your own bees?
Yes — we render and filter the wax from our own hives in Dorset. Each batch is traceable back to our colonies, supporting a closed-loop, sustainable beekeeping cycle.

Why Dorset beeswax?

Our bees forage across Owermoigne, Moreton and the wider Jurassic Coast, gathering nectar from wildflowers and coastal hedgerows. The wax they produce is naturally golden and lightly honey-scented, a true reflection of the Dorset landscape. By choosing this candle, you’re supporting local pollinators and sustainable British beekeeping.
