Our 2027 Spring National nucleus colonies are produced during the current beekeeping season and supplied once they have developed into strong six-frame colonies. Every colony is inspected before dispatch and supplied in a brand new Paynes poly nuc box, ready to transfer directly into your National hive.

2027 Availability & Delivery

Our 2027 Spring National nucleus colonies are expected to be ready from May 2027, subject to weather and colony development. We will contact you approximately 2–4 weeks before dispatch to arrange delivery or collection and issue your final invoice.

Spring nucs are supplied with a young queen mated during the current season, giving excellent brood production, strong colony growth and generally a lower swarming tendency than colonies headed by older queens.

When will my spring nuc be delivered?
We aim to dispatch during May 2027, depending on colony development and weather conditions.

Will this fit my National hive?
Yes. All colonies are supplied on standard British National frames ready to transfer directly into a National hive.

2027 Availability & Payment

Demand for our 2027 Spring National nucleus colonies is highest during autumn, winter and early spring. Ordering early secures your place in our production schedule.

A £50 non-refundable deposit secures your colony. We will contact you 2–4 weeks before dispatch to arrange delivery or collection. The remaining balance is payable by BACS no later than two weeks before your agreed delivery or collection date.
