About our Queens
Our 2025 Buckfast line will be from our selected F0 Danish buckfast.
Our 2025 Carniolan lines will be from our own selected Dorset Carniolan lines.
Each of the nucleus colonies that we create start with a grafted queen cell from our selected breeder queens
Our virgin queens then openly mate with our native Dorset Bees and become a F1 Queen. This combination provide all of the benefits of Europe's best Buckfast and Carniolan Queens with a prefect blend of local adaption courtesy of our local honey bees.
UK Mated Queen Selection
Our priority is to select mated Buckfast Queens and mated Carniolan Queens to be clam and gentle bees with excellent adaptation to the UK's climate. They type of honey bees suitable for back garden beekeeping.
